Fahrul Salam Yusuf graduated in 2003 from Faculty of Law of Universitas Indonesia. He is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) since August 2007 which has allowed him bar admittance in all judicial courts throughout Indonesia ever since. He is also a securities attorney registered with the Capital Market and Financial Institutions Supervisory Board (BAPEPAM-LK) since December 2007. In June 2008, he participated in the 45th session of the Academy of American and International Law held in Texas and followed by a Master of Law (LL.M) degree which he obtained from the University of Chicago in 2010.

 

Fahrul has been associated with SSEK since July 2002. Since day one of his employment, he has been heavily involved in helping clients establishing corporations, injecting foreign investments, doing mergers and acquisitions as well as various kinds of restructuring. Aside from the general corporate and commercial matters, most of his works are related to securities, debt restructuring as well as antitrust.

 

His projects, among other things, include assisting Bank Mandiri, one of the biggest banks in Indonesia in its expansion project by acquiring a general insurance business with AXA (2011), Bayan Resources in its debt restructuring in 2009, Bank Permata in a domestic offer of Rp.500 billion Subordinated Bonds in (2006), representing Panin ANZ consortium in the acquisition of control in Bank Permata from the Government (2004), representing Kordsa, a Turkish public company in acquiring PT. Branta Mulia Tbk. (2006), and representing PT. Indo Premier Securities in establishing and registering one of the first exchange traded funds (ETF) in Indonesia (2007).
