Ira Andamara Eddymurthy

Ira Eddymurthy is one of the founding partners of Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono (SSEK), a full-service corporate and commercial law firm based in Indonesia. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia in 1984, was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law from 1990 to 1991 and attended the Academy of American and International Law in Dallas, Texas, also in 1991. She specializes in capital markets and banking law, finance, including project finance, and tax law.

 

Ira has been recognized as one of the top corporate, commercial and mergers and acquisitions lawyers in Indonesia by Chambers' Global. She is acknowledged as a leading capital markets lawyer by the International Financial Law Review, Legal 500, Chambers Asia and Who's Who Legal. She has also been endorsed by Who's Who Legal and Legal 500 as a leading banking lawyer, and by Asia Law & Practice as a leading restructuring and insolvency, mergers and acquisitions, IT and telecommunications, securitization and structured finance, and general corporate practitioner.

Ira is a member of the International Bar Association and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA). A regular participant and speaker at IPBA conferences, Ira has represented the Indonesian jurisdiction for this body since 2002. She is also a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association and is licensed as an Advocate and Indonesian Capital Markets Legal Consultant.
