Dyah Soewito

Ms. Dyah Soewito is a specialist in Indonesian oil and gas law, foreign investment law, maritime law, real estate, construction, and corporate and commercial law. She has been a guest speaker at a number of domestic and international conferences has lectured at various government agencies, including the Department of Forestry and the Department of Finance, and was involved in preparing the draft foreign investment law.

 

From 1995 to 1999, Ms. Soewito assisted a private sector client to prepare recommendations for the Indonesian government policy on the development of a major gas project.

 

Ms. Soewito has been recognized by Asia Law & Practice as one of the leading practitioners in Indonesia in mergers & acquisitions, property, and shipping, maritime & aviation, and is recognized by the International Financial Law Review as one of the leading Indonesian practitioners in mergers and acquisitions, property, and maritime and aviation law.

 

Ms. Soewito is a founding partner of SSEK, Indonesia's largest independent law firm. She is a member of the Association of Indonesian Legal Consultants and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association. She was a member of the Board of Advisors of the ELIPS Project, Indonesia's commercial law reform project (1992-1996).

 

Ms Soewito is a graduate of the University of Indonesia Faculty of Law (1977) and participated in the Academy of American and International Law, International and Comparative Law Center, the Southwestern Legal Foundation, Dallas, Texas in 1988. In the same year, Ms. Soewito was a Visiting Scholar at the Boalt Hall School of Law of the University of California at Berkeley.
