Lasmaroha Simbolon

Lasmaroha Simbolon joined SSEK in July 2002 as part of its internship program and was made an associate after graduating from the University of Indonesia that same year. In 2010, she earned her LL.M from the Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois, majoring in general business law with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, real estate and project finance. Her areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, land law, tax law, general investment law, real estate and hotels and tourism.


Among her experiences, she has advised Toyota on the establishment of a joint venture company in Indonesia with PT Astra Otoparts and represented Jones Lang LaSalle in its acquisition of Procon's real estate consulting business to form the largest real estate consulting company in Indonesia. She advised Bank Andara in the review, negotiation and finalization of an US$18.5 million loan agreement with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation and Citibank, and also represented SC Johnson, one of the biggest consumer products companies in the world, in all Indonesian aspects of its global takeover of Sara Lee.


She is licensed as an advocate and is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi).
