Jonathan M. Streifer
Jonathan M. Streifer joined SSEK in 2002. He is a 1986 graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara where he received a B.A. degree with High Honors. He received his J.D. in 1992 from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) School of Law. Mr. Streifer is an active member of the State Bar of California.
Prior to joining SSEK, Mr. Streifer was associated with the San Francisco law firm of Shartsis Friese & Ginsburg LLP where he specialized in venture capital financings and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Streifer also worked for six years as a legal advisor to law firms in Jakarta focusing on corporate finance including private placements and public offerings of debt and equity securities, debt restructuring, bank lending, acquisitions and other international business transactions.
He is recognized by Chambers Global and Chambers Asia Pacific as a leading practitioner in the field of projects and natural resources, and is an Asialaw Recommended Lawyer. He has also been cited by IFLR 1000 as a top practitioner in capital markets and mergers and acquisitions.
At SSEK, Mr. Streifer advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, bank lending, real estate and a variety of transactional matters. Mr. Streifer is also affiliated with Yayasan Kampung Kids, a Jakarta-based community assistance foundation.
