Joseph Hendrik earned his Bachelor of Laws from Padjadjaran University, focusing on international law. In 2016, Joseph received a full scholarship from the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education to study law at the University of Sydney, where he earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in 2017.
Before joining SSEK in 2017, Joseph worked at another prominent law firm in Jakarta, where he helped represent a state-owned enterprise in arbitration proceedings at the BANI arbitration center in Indonesia. He also was involved in mining projects and general corporate transactions.
At SSEK, Joseph has represented clients in industrial relations disputes, civil litigation, police investigations, trademark disputes, and suspension of debt payment obligation (PKPU) and bankruptcy proceedings.
In addition to litigation matters, Joseph has been involved in several due diligence projects. In 2019, Joseph was seconded to a major automotive manufacturer, where he handled corporate, employment, and immigration matters for the client.
Joseph has been a featured speaker at various seminars and training events alongside SSEK partners, covering topics including competition law, civil litigation, and consumer protection.
Joseph is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi), allowing him bar admittance in all judicial courts in Indonesia.
He is fluent in English and Indonesian.
