Kadek Denny Baskara Adiputra earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Indonesia in 2019, with a focus on international law. Since joining SSEK, he has been involved primarily in general corporate and commercial law matters.
His recent experience includes assisting in a legal due diligence of an Indonesian mining company in connection with a possible loan from a private investor and assisting a subsidiary of a state-owned enterprise in the oil and gas sector in relation to the creation of a joint operation for the construction, operation and maintenance of an oil pipeline corridor from the largest oil block in Indonesia.
Kadek assisted in the legal due diligence of several state-owned enterprises from a general corporate law perspective, helped advise on the acquisition of a resort hotel in Bali by an award-winning luxury boutique hotel brand, which included advice on compliance matters, and was part of the team acting as Indonesian counsel to the buyer in the indirect acquisition of an Indonesian company by one of the largest paint manufacturers in the world, a Japan-based multinational. He assisted and advised the Indonesian central bank on the drafting of a regulation concerning short-term liquidity facilities for banks.
During university, Kadek was actively involved in several international moot court competitions, including the International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot in 2016, the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2018 and the ALSA International Moot Court Competition in 2018.
Kadek was the recipient of a Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education Scholarship for Extracurricular Activity Excellence.
He is fluent in English and Indonesian.
