Shafira Nindya Putri earned her Bachelor of Laws in 2013 from the University of Indonesia, with a focus on international law. She earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2018.
Since joining SSEK, Shafira has been involved in numerous projects concerning general corporate matters, oil and gas law, shipping, infrastructure, real estate and environmental law. She also advises clients on company restructurings, acquisitions and foreign direct investments.
While at the University of Indonesia, Shafira took part in several international moot court competitions, including the International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot Competition in 2010 and 2011, and the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in 2012 and 2013, where her team was Indonesia’s national champion and an international round octofinalist.
In her final year of law school, Shafira was an assistant researcher for an Australian National University-funded research project on counterterrorism and human rights in Indonesia.
Shafira is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi). She is fluent in English and Indonesian.
