Syarifah Reihana Fakhry (Reina) earned her Bachelor of Laws in 2016 from the University of Indonesia.
Since joining SSEK, Reina has represented major domestic and multinational companies in a number of transactions. Her experience includes representing General Electric as part of the multibillion dollar acquisition of GE’s Transportation business by Wabtec Corporation and the acquisition of GE’s Distributed Power business by Advent International.
Reina has worked on a variety of projects involving mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment and e-commerce, as well as general corporate and commercial matters. She has also been involved in a number of matters with the firm’s dispute resolution and litigation team.
Prior to joining SSEK, Reina was an associate at another prominent law firm in Jakarta, where she was mainly involved in arbitration and litigation matters. She also interned at a large law firm in Singapore, where she assisted with commercial litigation, international arbitration and general corporate matters.
Reina has passed the advocates exam and is currently waiting to be inaugurated as a licensed advocate.
Reina is active in human rights, environmental and development causes. She has served as a youth advisor for an international NGO focused on children’s and women’s rights and was a climate change presenter trained by Al Gore.
At university, Reina participated in various international moot court competitions, representing both her university and Indonesia, most notably at the 2016 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, DC.
