SSEK Law Firm partner Aldilla S. Suwana recently moderated a client event on “Indonesia’s Risk-Based Licensing Framework (OSS): Bridging Interpretation and Real-World Application,” held in collaboration with the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), AmCham Indonesia, and EuroCham Indonesia.

The session featured Dr. Riyatno, S.H., LL.M., Deputy for Investment Climate Development at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, who delivered key insights on the implementation of BKPM Regulation No. 5 of 2025. His presentation highlighted the regulation’s practical implications for investment structuring, licensing processes, and regulatory compliance in Indonesia.

Key topics discussed included:

  • Minimum investment thresholds and reporting obligations for foreign investment companies.
  • Environmental licensing requirements (SPPL, UKL-UPL, AMDAL) and the Amdal.net system.
  • Restrictions and limitations under certain KBLI classifications.
  • Verification of core licensing requirements through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system and regional authorities

The event featured a lively exchange of views and an engaging Q&A with participants. SSEK extends its appreciation to BKPM and all attendees for contributing to a productive discussion on Indonesia’s evolving investment framework.
