Richard Emmerson, a senior foreign advisor at SSEK and one of Indonesia's leading labor and employment lawyers, spoke at a seminar on February 28, 2013, at the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta on Indonesian HR & Employment Law.

Addressing more than 50 participants from Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei, Richard examined the challenges and approaches of Indonesian employment law, led a workshop on drafting employment contracts and handbooks, and discussed the issue of outsourcing in Indonesia.

Richard has been recognized as one of Indonesia's leading employment lawyers by Chambers Asia and Chambers Global, the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers and Asialaw.

In addition to labor and employment law, Richard has extensive experience in privatizations and infrastructure development projects (toll roads, drinking water, private power) and advises clients in the insurance, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, distribution and manufacturing sectors.
