Aldilla Stephanie Suwana joined SSEK in 2018. Her practice focuses on energy and natural resources, environmental law and climate change, in addition to general corporate matters, real estate and foreign investment.

Since joining SSEK, Aldilla has been extensively involved in a wide range of projects, including environmental remediation and projects in the carbon trading, real estate and infrastructure sectors. She assisted SYSTEMIQ, a system change company, in its work with its partners in Indonesia to design and implement local waste management projects designed and operated to be self-sustaining through the generation of plastic credits and other local revenue sources. Aldilla worked with a multinational company in relation to its environmental function recovery or remediation plan for its work site, which included providing strategy and regulatory advice as well as engagement with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and other stakeholders.

Aldilla advised Forest Carbon, a premium carbon project developer in Indonesia, in relation to funding from the AXA Climate and Biodiversity Impact Fund for wetland restoration projects in Indonesia, assisted a global environmental nonprofit organization with the acquisition of large-scale forest concessions in Indonesia, and advised a multinational sustainable energy company on the development of offshore wind turbines in Indonesia.

Aldilla is a frequent speaker at seminars and training programs organized by multinationals, state-owned enterprises and law schools in Indonesia, covering various legal topics including contracts, legal due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and environmental law.

Prior to joining SSEK, Aldilla worked for the Indonesian government on sustainable fishery development, climate change mitigation and the reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) framework in Indonesia. She also worked as legal counsel for the Presidential Task Force on the Eradication of Illegal Fishing and as legal counsel and an assistant to the Minister/Head of National REDD+ Agency.

Aldilla is admitted to practice law in both Indonesia and New York.
