SSEK Discusses Private Placements in Indonesia at AIMA Conference

Michael S. Carl, an international legal adviser at SSEK, was a featured speaker at the recent AIMA Asia Navigating Private Placement Conferences in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Alternative Investment Management Association held the conference on October 17 in Hong Kong and October 19 in Singapore. The full-day event focused on marketing and private placement requirements in key fundraising jurisdictions globally.

Michael updated conference attendees on the requirements applicable to private placements and other types of fundraising in Indonesia.

Michael joined SSEK in 2004 and has nearly 20 years of experience practicing law in Southeast Asia. Before joining SSEK, he was associated with the international law firm Baker & McKenzie in its Singapore and Bangkok offices, where he represented Indonesian and Thai concerns in US debt and equity offerings and debt restructurings.

Michael is recognized by Chambers & Partners and IFLR1000 as a leading practitioner in the fields of banking and finance, corporate law and M&A, projects and energy, real estate, restructuring and insolvency and telecommunications.
