Michael D.Twomey is experienced in a wide range of corporate, commercial and financial law fields, including corporate mergers, acquisitions and restructurings, commercial real estate development, leasing and financing, and project finance. In particular, Mr. Twomey has been actively involved in major transactions in the oil and gas (both upstream and downstream), mining, private power, hotel and shipping sectors.
Mr. Twomey has been an advisor to SSEK since 1992. He is a 1980 graduate of Yale University where he received a B.A. degree, graduating magna cum laude with distinction in economics, and a 1986 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where he received his J.D. degree. He was previously associated with the New York law firm Thacher Proffitt and Wood, where he specialized in real estate finance and mortgage loan syndication.
Mr. Twomey is recognized by the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers as a leading lawyer in the following fields: project finance, oil and gas, public procurement and business law. He has also been recognized over the years by Chambers and Partners and Asia Law & Practice as a leading practitioner in the fields of corporate finance, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, projects and natural resources, and real estate law.
He is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia.
