Agung Kurniawan Sihombing earned his Bachelor of Laws in 2021 from Padjadjaran University, majoring in intellectual property law and information and technology law. Prior to joining SSEK, Agung interned at a prominent law firm in Thailand, where he assisted with intellectual property matters.
Since joining SSEK, Agung has focused mainly on general corporate, and commercial matters and privacy law. His recent experience includes assisting in legal due diligence projects for corporate transactions, partnering with a foreign law firm to advise on environmental matters, and advising on Indonesia’s privacy law.
While at university, Agung was active in international moot court competitions and writing competitions. He participated in the 2018 Asia Cup International Moot Court Competition in Japan and the 2020 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, where he represented his university and Indonesia and received the Best Memorial award. Agung also received several awards in international writing competitions.
Agung was active in several student organizations at university, including as a researcher for the Asian Law Students’ Association Indonesia.
Agung is fluent in English and Indonesian.
