Dian Kirana (Deka) earned her Bachelor of Laws in 2012 from the University of Indonesia, majoring in civil law. She received an LPDP scholarship from the Indonesian government in 2017 and earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in intellectual property and information law from King’s College London in 2019.
Prior to joining SSEK, Deka was an intellectual property (IP) lawyer at a specialized IP law firm in Jakarta. She handled various IP prosecution and litigation matters involving trademarks, patents, copyrights, and industrial designs. Deka also advised clients on data privacy matters.
Deka is admitted to practice law in Indonesia and is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi). She is a registered IP consultant, which allows her to represent foreign IP owners in the prosecution and litigation of their IP matters in Indonesia. Deka is a member of the Indonesian IP Attorneys Association (Asosiasi Konsultan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual Indonesia or AKHKI).
She is fluent in Indonesian and English and has an understanding of basic German.
