Maria Yudhitama Eka Dewi graduated cum laude from Parahyangan Catholic University in 2009. At university, she was actively involved in the student senate, Legal Aid Institute and national moot court. In 2020, Maria received her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from King’s College London, majoring in international financial law.
Since joining SSEK, Maria has been extensively involved in major transactions and has provided legal advice and representation in the capital market, P2P, insurance, multifinance, banking, foreign investment, and mergers and acquisitions sectors for multinational and domestic companies. Her representations include Pertamina, MRT Jakarta, Unilever, Aetna, Prudential, Allianz and OVO.
Prior to joining SSEK in 2011, Maria worked at another prominent law firm in Jakarta, where she practiced banking and capital markets law. She also worked at the Indonesian Capital Market and Financial Institution Supervisory Board (Bapepam-LK) at the Ministry of Finance (now the Financial Services Authority/OJK).
Maria is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi), allowing her bar admittance in all judicial courts in Indonesia. She has passed the test for membership to the Association of Capital Market Legal Consultants.
Maria is fluent in English and Indonesian. She is active in charitable work, in particular helping school dropouts continue their education.
