Nico Angelo Putra Mooduto graduated from the University of Indonesia Faculty of Law in 2012. He joined SSEK in 2011 and has been extensively involved in a wide range of projects, mostly in the firm’s corporate, construction and dispute resolution practices.
In SSEK's corporate practice, Nico was involved in a US$1.36 billion cross-border transaction involving one of the world’s largest steel manufacturers. This sizeable deal involved several complex issues, including license, tax, labor and anti-trust issues. Nico has also been involved in many other M&A transactions and corporate restructurings, most involving companies in the energy sector, in addition to his general corporate and compliance work.
Nico’s experience in the firm’s construction practice includes advising on and assisting in the establishment of PMA companies and Representative Offices. Nico’s has also advised on FIDIC construction contracts.
In addition to handling corporate matters, Nico is deeply involved in the firm’s dispute resolution practice. His experience includes arbitration as well as civil and criminal court proceedings. He has advised on a dispute involving a prominent international accounting organization and disputes in the energy industry.
Outside of the firm, Nico is highly active in the University of Indonesia’s moot court team. Nico was a member of the team while at university and now serves as an advisor, most notably in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition Competition and the Hong Kong Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition. He has helped the team earn numerous international and national awards.
Nico is an avid sports fan and is a fluent English speaker and writer.
