Yan Diaz Maulana Siregar earned his Bachelor of Laws in 2020 from the University of Indonesia, majoring in private international law. He graduated with cum laude honors. Since joining SSEK, Yan Diaz has been involved in a variety of projects, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, taxation, real estate, and general corporate and commercial law.
His recent experience includes acting as interim team leader on a major transaction involving the sale of more than 80 real property assets by a group of prominent Indonesian state-owned enterprises.
Yan Diaz has also been involved in numerous due diligence projects in connection with transactions involving prominent companies in the technology, mining, and forest concession sectors, among others. He was part of the team that performed due diligence for a decacorn tech company in connection with its planned listing.
He has assisted in numerous transactions involving the acquisition of high-profile companies, was involved in acting as Indonesian counsel to advise a foreign government on Indonesian trade law and was part of the team assisting a large shipping company with an Indonesian tax dispute.
While at university, Yan Diaz was active in moot court competitions and was an octofinalist in the international round of the 2019 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. He was named 3rd Most Outstanding Student of the University of Indonesia Faculty of Law and finished in the top 10 best EFL speakers in several international English debate competitions.
Yan Diaz is fluent in English and Indonesian.
