Fransiscus Rodyanto joined SSEK in 2011. His practice is focused on energy, including renewables, mining, oil and gas law, corporate mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining SSEK, Frans worked at another prominent law firm in Jakarta where he was exposed to many upstream oil and gas transactions.
Frans’ experience in the oil and gas sector includes the following:
||Advising a number of major US oil and gas companies on issues related to upstream oil and gas activities in Indonesia.|
||Representing a major US oil and gas services company in securing US$1.1 billion in financing from several major financial institutions.|
||With international counsel, advising a subsidiary of an oil and gas state-owned company on its upstream oil and gas operations outside Indonesia.|
||Representing an oil and gas state-owned company and its subsidiary in an ICC arbitration case and its enforcement in Indonesia over an upstream oil and gas contract dispute with total claims amounting to US$400 million.|

||Advising one of the largest geothermal producers in the world on all aspects of its operations in Indonesia.|
||Advising a large Indian multinational company on a joint venture arrangement with an Indonesian company for the establishment and operation of a port in Indonesia.|
||Advising various Chinese communications and software companies on foreign investment in Indonesia.|
Frans received his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics from the University of Indonesia. He earned an English diploma from the Faculty of Humanities at the same university. In 2011, Frans earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in European and international business law from Leiden University in the Netherlands, as part of the Leiden University Excellence Scholarship program.
Frans is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi), which enable him to practice law throughout Indonesia.
